Top Exercises To Develop Your Biceps
When you hear of someone being called a body-builder, the first thing that would probably come to your mind is how big his or her biceps are. The biceps is an important muscle group to develop. Since you frequently use your arms to maneuver equipment or carry heavy loads at the gym, they should be tougher and stronger. To shape up your biceps and increase their strength, you can do these bicep-developing exercises.
Exercise number one, Dumbbell Concentration Curls. This is a good exercise to do if you want to exclusively tone your biceps muscle. You can start this by sitting on a bench, setting you legs far from each other, and resting an elbow on the knee below it. The next step is to reach for a dumbbell on the floor using the hand that is resting on a knee. You can also brace your free hand upon the other knee to gain leverage. Raise the dumbbell carefully using your biceps force. Raise it to shoulder level for a couple of seconds. Slowly bring it down to the starting position you assumed. You can do as many reps as you desire. Don’t forget to do the same number of reps with the other arm.
Standing dumbbell curls exercise. This exercise is a lot like concentration curls yet you have to do arms curls simultaneously using two dumbbells. You would also have to stand up to ensure proper body mechanics. With the proper positioning, grab a pair of dumbbells and let them hang straightly on your sides. Keep your upper arms pinned to your torso and slowly lift the dumbbells to shoulder level by flexing your elbow. Allow a couple of seconds before you bring them down again. Repeat several times depending on your tolerance.
Exercise number three, Preacher Curls. As the name implies, you need to use the preacher bench in this exercise. You would also need a barbell with an ample weight. To do this, you need to lay your hands flat on the pad and let another person hand over a barbell. From a completely flat position on the preacher bench, slowly bring up the barbell to shoulder height and let a few seconds pass before you slowly let it down again. Remember to focus on using your biceps strength when doing this exercise.
The good part about these exercises is that you can do them at home. That is because there are a lot convenient home fitness equipment that you can purchase from the internet. Having your own home fitness equipment and incorporating these tips to execute these exercises can help you in achieving the kind of biceps that you desire.
